MY PORTFOLIO

Since the start of my journey in Mechanical Engineering at UCSB, my dedication, pursuit, and motivation to learn and develop have led me to exceptional projects and experiences. I’m grateful to have a profession I am passionate about. I am proud and happy to share my work with you. Take a moment to look at my portfolio. MY PROJECTS
ME10 - Robotics

ME10 Project 1
Introduction - Blink
My reintroduction to the Arduino platform. Familiarizing myself with Arduino code with the basic example, "Blink," I was tasked with changing the high voltage value to be set for 3 seconds, then set to a low voltage value for 2 seconds.

ME10 Project 2
Task 1 - LED Basics
a. LED on
b. Switches are wired in series
c. Switches are wired in parallel
Task 2 - Spaceship Interface
- when the button is pressed the two red lights blink sequentially for half a second
Task +2 - LEDs "Go Crazy"
The two red lights blink 20 times per second sequentially using a for loop in my Arduino IDE script.

ME10 Project 3
Task 3 - Love-O-Meter
Utilizing a temperature sensor, all three LEDs will light up in series based on how "in love" you are.

Task 4 - Color Mixing Lamp
Using 3 phototransistors and tricolor LED, it will light the LED a certain color based on what exterior light is displayed.

ME10 Project 4
Task 6 - Light Theremin
Modified the volume of the piezo using to different methods
1) Using a potentiometer
2) Using a phototransistor
Task 7 - Keyboard Instrument
Created a digital mini keyboard to output the A, C, D, and G keys while showing off my musical talent by playing one of my favorite songs.

ME10 Project 5
Task 9 - Motorized Pinwheel
Spun a pinwheel using a motor at the press of a button

Task 10 - Zoetrope
Created moving images in forward and reverse using a motor and still images

ME10 Project 6
Task 5 - Mood Cue
Used a potentiometer and a servo motor to create a mechanical gauge that points out what mood you are in.

Task 12 - Knock Lock
Used a piezo and a servo motor to create a locking mechanism that unlocks with a knock.

ME10 Project 7
Task 8 - Digital Hourglass
Created a "6-second glass" that turns on a LED every second and rings on the 6th second using a piezo.

Task 12 - Crystal Ball (YES Ball)
Used a tilt sensor and an LCD screen to create a "Crystal Ball" that tells the user's fortune.

ME10 Final Project
"Project Lucy"
Squeak N Treat
ME153 - Design
FINAL Project - AUTOSHADE

Problem:
-
Conventional sunshade designs
-
Not changed in years
-
A hassle to store
-
Awkward to set up
-
Not a factory feature of a car

Solution:
-
A fast automated external sunshade that ejects and stores itself
-
For integration with future production vehicles
What are its features?
-
Low Profile corrugated plastic casing
-
12V Motor with encoder
-
Arduino Uno with a motor driver
-
12V battery pack
-
Low friction spacers (bearings)
-
Neodymium Disc Magnets
-
Nylon-Polyester Reflective fabric
How it works
-
PID controller rolls out a specific length of fabric
-
One button press to roll/unroll
